  • Eligibility: Residents must be 21 or older.
  • Before arrival: Complete your post-registration tasks and seven-day pre-residency preparation. You receive your residency preparation materials electronically in advance.
  • Travel: You arrange and pay for all travel, accommodation and meals, including Eurostar tickets between London and Paris if you choose both cities. TCI provides guidance and recommends a train for the London-to-Paris transfer. Travelling on that train is optional. Residents may travel separately, but must arrive in Paris by the required deadline shared in their preparation materials. Residents travelling separately complete the rail-story assignment independently. Please arrange the required travel medical insurance before you travel.
  • Arriving early: We recommend arriving in the city where your residency begins before the first scheduled day, allowing time for travel delays and to settle in. This helps you arrive ready to participate and reduces the chance of missing residency time because of travel disruption. For Paris + London, follow the separate Paris arrival deadline shared in your preparation materials.
  • Equipment: Bring the equipment you plan to create with. A laptop is recommended to help you edit and organise your work.
  • Completion: Plan to have your work ready for final verification by 3 p.m. on your last residency day. The cohort follows a fixed schedule, so make-up sessions are not available.
  • After your residency: Complete your closeout. We recommend downloading and saving all materials within 30 days of program completion so you have your own copies for future projects. Links may be updated or retired as the program changes.

Your residency includes structured education, practical assignments, guidance, feedback and preparation materials. Your portfolio plan covers five category pitch videos, 100 distinct shots, a creative portfolio, a compact creator portfolio and an organised b-roll library. The aim is a completed starter portfolio or a structured foundation with finished work and a clear completion plan. You complete the assignments and organise your own travel. This does not guarantee a commission, partnership or client.

Review the Residency Purchase Terms for payment, cancellation, refunds and future residency participation. Questions? Email TCI.

Your next step: Complete the enrolment form below. After submitting your details and policy acknowledgement, continue to the payment page and choose the matching residency, season and currency.

Filming preparation: Check each location’s filming permissions and admission requirements before you create there. Keep permission and usage notes with your footage so you can assess which material is suitable for future client projects.
