You do not need a polished success story before you begin. Show the process: what you tried, what clicked, what challenged you, and what you are building. Your honest experience is what makes this useful.

Post one weekly video for six weeks for each Skill Builder you take, and tag TCI.
Choose the skill you want to build
- Build Your First Commercial Travel Portfolio: create purposeful samples and explain your creative decisions.
- Create Travel UGC Brands Can Use: produce one commercial video with a brief, treatment, and coverage plan.
- Pitch Hotels and Travel Brands for Paid Work: build a prospect list, tailored pitch, and follow-up plan.
- Price and Negotiate Travel UGC Projects: create a scoped package, itemized quote, and negotiation checklist.
Each Skill Builder is normally €49 EUR, or €149 EUR for the complete Core Foundation. Accepted creators can take each of the four Skill Builders at no charge through this exchange.
What you commit to
- Complete the six sessions and practical assignment for each Skill Builder you take.
- Publish one public video to your social account each week for six weeks for each Skill Builder. Share your progress, thoughts, or something you have put into practice.
- Tag The Travel Content Institute in every video. We will include the correct platform handles in your acceptance email.
- Clearly disclose that you received free access in exchange for sharing your experience. Include the disclosure in the video and caption, and use the platform’s partnership label where required.
- Share honest views based on your own experience. Positive reviews are not a condition of free access.
The weekly commitment is per Skill Builder. Taking all four means six weekly videos for each one. You can work through them one at a time. If you complete the sessions early, continue sharing your progress or reflections through the six weekly updates.
What could you share each week?
Your starting point. A useful idea. A decision you made. Something you changed. Work in progress. Your finished result and what you learned. Keep it natural and in your own voice.
Make the exchange clear
A simple disclosure could be: “Ad: TCI gave me free access to this Skill Builder in exchange for six weekly videos about my experience.” Make it easy to see and hear. A tag alone does not explain the exchange.
What happens after you apply?
TCI will review your application and contact you by email. Applying does not automatically grant access. If accepted, you will receive your access instructions and posting details when the Skill Builders open. Your six-week posting commitment begins when you start the Skill Builder, not when you apply.
Your next step could be Paris or London.
Creators who have completed and evaluated the Skill Builders are encouraged to apply privately for free access to TCI’s Paris and London residencies. Tell us what you learned and why you would like to take your work into the field.
This is a separate application, not a guaranteed place. Complimentary access covers the TCI residency fee, not travel, accommodation, or other personal expenses.
